Our Online Cricket Betting Tips

We at Premium Cricket try to deliver you the best Online Cricket Betting Tips at the market and we hope this one does exactly that! The 2nd ODI match of the ongoing 3-match ODI series between New Zealand and Pakistan will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on the 9th of November 2018. New Zealand will be over the moon after recording their 12th consecutive win against Pakistan by winning the 1st match. We predict that New Zealand will win once more according to our betting tip and expect them to go 2-0 up in the series.

New Zealand huff and puff to a win

The 1st ODI match between the two teams was played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on the 7th of November 2018. The preceding T20I series was won by Pakistan, 3-0, and many expected them to transfer that success to the 50-over format as well. We through our prediction for the 1st match thought so too. But we were proven wrong.

Kane Williamson won the toss for the Kiwis and elected to bat first knowing very well that chasing under lights would be hard at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Shaheen Shah Afridi struck early to dismiss George Worker for 1 and then accounted for Colin Munro who was dismissed for a quick 29 off 27 deliveries. Kane Williamson was next to go deceived by a delivery from Shadab Khan to leave New Zealand in a spot of bother at 78 for 3. Ross Taylor and Tom Latham then combined to resurrect the innings with a match-winning 130 run stand in 25 overs of batting time.

Shadab Khan then rocked the New Zealand innings by capturing 3 wickets in one over. Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls were dismissed LBW off successive deliveries before Colin de Grandhomme survived the hat-trick ball only to be caught by Babar Azam off the next delivery. Imad Wasim then bowled Ross Taylor to leave New Zealand again in a spot of bother at 210 for 7. Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi did well to stop the rut and take New Zealand past the 260 run mark. Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan captured 4 wickets apiece for Pakistan while Wasim kept the scoring rate down by conceding just 38 runs in 8 overs.

Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq came out to bat for Pakistan with them needing 267 for victory. Trent Boult produced a fine spell of swing bowling to captured 3 top order wickets to become only the 3rd bowler from New Zealand to captured an ODI hat-trick. Fakhar was bowled off his pads before Ross Taylor caught Babar Azam in the slips. Mohammad Hafeez with a good return in the T20I series to boot, walked out to face the hat-trick ball. He was wrapped on the pads to a great in-swinging delivery, which was given out immediately by the on-field umpire. Hafeez reviewed but he became the 3rd victim and thus completed the 4th ODI hat-trick against a Pakistani side.

Shoaib Malik and Imam resurrected the innings to an extent before 3 wickets fell in the space of 14 runs. Colin de Grandhomme and Lockie Ferguson’s pace left Pakistan facing down the barrel at 85 for 6. It was left to Sarfraz Ahmed and Imad Wasim to put on a rear-guard action by putting on 103 runs for the 7th wicket. However, Sarfraz’s dismissal at 188 in the 41st over signaled the end of Pakistan’s challenge. They were bowled out for 219 with more than 2 overs of batting time remaining. Trent Boult finished with 3 for 54 while Ferguson captured 3 for 36.

Prediction for the 2nd match

We at premium cricket expect both teams to go in with similar teams without making many changes to the playing 11. Fakhar Zaman’s place in the Pakistani side will be under scrutiny especially with Haris Sohail breathing down his neck with some good performances during Pakistan’s test series against Australia. We expect New Zealand to give another go to George Worker and Henry Nicholls but Colin de Grandhomme’s position as a batsman will be under threat, though his 2 for 40 with the ball may save him to fight another day.
