We have now reached the final stages of the T10 Super League tournament for the year 2018. 24-league stage and 3 qualifier matches have been played and now we are down to the last two matches to determine the final standings. The Northern Warriors and the Pakhtoons have reached the finals while the Maratha Arabians and the Bengal Tigers who lost to the finalists during the final matches will battle it out for 3rd place. What did the Tigers and the Arabians achieve?

The Maratha Arabians finished 3rd in Group B at the end of the first round of matches winning just 1 out of the 3 matches. They obtained 2 points and a NRR of -1.642. The Arabians then defeated the Rajputs and the Sindhis to finish in 3rd place of the Super League Stage with a NRR of 0.638.

The Arabians met the Bengal Tigers on the 1st of December for the 1st Eliminator final match. Dwayne Bravo captured 2 for 16 in 2 overs of canny medium pace bowling. The Arabians started off pensively losing 3 wickets pretty quickly. But Alex Hales blasted a 32-ball 87 to take his side through to an emphatic 7-wicket victory with 5 balls to spare.


The Tigers then played the 2nd qualifier match against the Northern Warriors within a matter of hours and it seemed to take its toll on the players. The Arabians were restricted to 72 for 8 in 10 overs with Bravo and Hazratullah Zazai reaching double figures. The Warriors made short work of the target blasting 74 for no loss in 5 overs. The Maratha Arabians

Alex Hales is the new leading run-scorer for the Arabians. He has hit 216 runs with the top score of 87 not out. Hazratullah Zazai has hit 162 runs at a strike rate of 205.06 while Najibullah Zadran has 148 runs with the top score of 60 not out. Dwayne Bravo is a big match player and he showed his prowess with bat and with the ball during the last two matches. The Arabians also have Rashid Khan and Kamran Akmal in their ranks as players who can add some useful runs.


Dwayne Bravo is now the 2nd leading wicket-taker of the tournament with 9 wickets with 4 for 16 as his best. The Bengal Tigers
